We first went on Queen Mary 2 in the summer of 2009 and couldn't imagine just what awaited us.
The ship takes forward the legacy of the great ocean liners which carried the rich and famous across the Atlantic until they could fly from one side of the pond to the other in a matter of hours.
It could be that this Queen will be the last of its type, so if you've never sailed on her and you've always wondered what it would be like, then you might think about doing that before the QM2 gets to the end of her working life.
A couple of the occasional reminders - this is a blog so it runs like a journal with the latest instalment of the story appearing at the top of the page. If you want to see what happened before you need to scroll down the page. The blog separates its content into pages and at the bottom of every page is a link to older or newer posts.
The other thing to mention is that if you'd like to enlarge any photo, just click on it.
