Some heritage photos

With the arrival of Queen Anne, Cunard now has four ships in their fleet, but Queen Mary 2 remains their flagship vessel.

Cunard is also the successor line to the White Star Line and they pride themselves on some of its traditions and its heritage, for example, afternoon tea in the Queen’s Room with waiting staff wearing white gloves to serve the guests.

But one aspect of all this that we really like is Cunard’s celebration of the heyday of the big liners and they remind us of this around the ship from the paintings of some of their great ships to the grand array of photos of the big names of the past who sailed with them.

A quieter day on board offers the chance to explore some of this and reminisce particularly about the Hollywood and other celebrity legends who have sailed before us.

Here is a start to that collection – more as we go along –
